Interesting soap and shampoo

I learned about some of the benefits of manuka recently, so I decided to give this soap/shampoo product a try.
First, it arrived quickly. The label was missing and, because it was so plain, I contacted the seller to be sure this was the correct product. I got an immediate response saying the labels weren't ready in time, so they sent it without it so my order wouldn't be delayed. Because of my concern, the seller offered to send me a label and free gift, which I declined. But I thought that was excellent service.
Now on to the product. As mentioned elsewhere, it does not lather up at all, and it has a somewhat strange, earthy or veggie smell unlike most other soaps. The ingredients are: extra virgin olive, coconut and hemp seed oils, East Cape manuka oil and citric acid. I'm assuming the smell is the olive or hemp seed oil. It wasn't quite what I expected, but it smells fine.
Because it contains oils, it separates inside the bottle after it sits for a bit. Another surprise, but not a big deal at all. I shake it up before I use it, and it's ready to go.
The soap itself (which can also be used as a shampoo) is very nice on the body and especially on the hair where I use it most. It does not rip out the hair's natural oil, nor does it leave hair feeling slick or oily. It's a middle ground, and it feels really good.
Overall this is a nice, cleansing soap/shampoo combination. I like it.

From the land of Middle Earth, jandals, and hokey-pokey ice cream comes Manuka oil. Well, you might not know what jandals are (flip flops) or what hokey-pokey ice cream is (sponge toffee) - but you should definitely find out about Manuka stuff! It's got a sort of mild, clean cedar smell and I find that it is much more gentle on my skin than Australian tea tree.
It does not lather up at all (I imagine this is a feature of castile soaps) and while rationally I know that bubbles do not mean you are getting clean, I do sort of wish this had a teeny bit more body to it. But that might not bother you at all - and that said, this soap does make me feel very fresh! I hate to hold back on a star because really, isn't the whole purpose of soap to get you clean? And this product definitely does that!
So... yes. Very nice manuka product that showed up faster than expected.
